2008 Harvest Season Updates
2008 Wheat Harvest Starts -

This year's wheat harvest started for us around Burkburnett, TX. We started harvesting with our three new CASE 8010 combines and the new series draper heads. As we moved to Oklahoma, we started using our only 2588 combine to help with the Oklahoma and Kansas harvest. Half-way through the Kansas harvest we started running four 8010's for the remainder of the wheat harvest. The wheat harvest ended for us the last week of August near Mohall, ND. The wheat portion of our run was very good. We had good crops to harvest and our CASE 8010's ran great with tremendous capacity.

Enjoy the various pictures of the combines and the various moving day pictures.

Fall Harvest -

Fall harvest started the first week of September with our high moisture corn harvest around Guymon, OK. Within a couple of weeks, we were also picking corn around Kinsley, Ellis, Gove, and Garden City. The last of our corn harvest was between Oakley and Colby, KS. Fall harvest requires a lot of support equipment to keep up with the capacity of these CASE 8010's. We operated three large grain karts, five semis, two triple axle grain trucks, and had additional trucks to help with the hauling.

We also cut irrigated soybeans using the CASE 2162 flex draper head. This header does a great job.

This was a great year for milo, and we were able to harvest some really high yielding milo with yields as high as 150 plus bushels per acre. Milo is a crop that the CASE 8010's really shine in. Tremendous capacity with a great bin sample. Most of the 4-5 feet tall milo fell over due to high winds, and we had to pick it up off the ground with our rowheads. Instead of 140-150 acres per day, were down to 65-80 acres per day.

This was a great harvest year for us. We had good crops to harvest. Our combines ran really good but most of all; the young men on our crew did a super job of working hard, getting the job done, and being excellent ambassadors for our business.

Thanks again to everyone that helped us get the job done!
